OLYMPICS FOR SUSTAINABILITY (OOFS)<\/strong><\/h3>\nOlympics of Sustainability (OofS)<\/strong> is an innovative project that combines sport, environmental responsibility, and community engagement. The initiative uses the inspirational power of sport to encourage people to adopt more sustainable lifestyles through practical, everyday actions. By integrating sustainability education into sports activities, the project promotes pro-environmental behaviour while supporting active and healthy living.<\/p>\nThe project introduces an engaging challenge-based approach<\/strong>, where participants are rewarded for environmentally responsible actions during sport events through a Green Badge system<\/strong>. Actions such as reducing waste, using sustainable transport, and supporting eco-friendly event practices become part of the sport experience.<\/p>\nTo ensure long-term impact, OofS will develop a Green Playbook<\/strong>, a practical guide that helps municipalities, sport clubs, and educational institutions organise sustainable sport events and replicate the model across Europe.<\/p>\nSpecial attention is given to social inclusion<\/strong>, ensuring that young people, disadvantaged groups, and communities with limited access to sport can actively participate. Through sport, OofS builds healthier communities while promoting environmental responsibility.<\/p>\nProject Duration<\/strong>

NW ECO<\/strong><\/h3>\nThe NW ECO project<\/strong> successfully combines sport and climate action by promoting Nordic walking clean-up events<\/strong> as a means of encouraging active lifestyles and environmental responsibility. By merging physical activity with ecological awareness, the project addresses two pressing societal needs\u2014improving public health and protecting the environment.<\/p>\nAt the heart of NW ECO is a strong focus on building the capacity of staff and volunteers in non-profit sport clubs<\/strong>. Through a range of activities, the project enhances key competencies such as environmental stewardship, event organization, and community engagement.
